Make Music Day (World Music Day) is a free celebration of music, which happens around the world every year on the 21st of June. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it has become a global celebration held on the same day in more than 700 cities in 120 countries.
Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is a multi-venue event, open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion shares their music with friends, neighbors and strangers. All of it is free, Un-ticketed and open to the public.
Joining the global train of celebrating World Music Day, Abuja as a city has been approved officially by Make Music U.S.A to lunch Make Music Abuja to commemorate the global event celebrated in over 700 cities. The foremost edition of Make Music Abuja will take place on June 21, 2017 organized by a team of reputable organizations in the Audio-Visual and Entertainment industry, conceding a global opportunity to every individual, groups, professionals/up-coming artistes, school pupils or band and amateurs to express music.
