Nigerian emcee and hip hop torch-bearer MCskill ThaPreacha releases his 8th body of work titled "Diary Of A Supernatural"; a Pan-African hip hop album worthy of all the praise and accolades you're going to hear it get over the next few decades or so. It begins with a spoken-word oratory session by REZthaPoet who brilliantly delivers a memorable display of chosen words and heavy-hitting punchlines that resonate across the Pan-African spectrum of music, fashion and culture.
MCskill ThaPreacha blazes hot on this album which sees guest appearances from artistes such as; Freeborn, Haija SOA Aremo, Tafa, Synik, Stormatique, Sigrin Royce, A-Q, Xboi, and an all-star cast on the remix of MCskill ThaPReacha's 2015 hit-song The Season (Official remix) which features Dominant-1, Magic Man, Third Eye, Awkword, Shva-1 and DJ Teck-Zilla. MCskill ThaPreacha sets his stage on fire with a 5-mic performance on Diary Of A Supernatural. Songs like "Man In The Mirror", "Family Over Everything", "Dear Daughter" and "Black Child" (just to mention a few) reveals MCskill ThaPreacha's heightened sense of mastery in the arts of lyricism and storytelling. MCskill ThaPreacha's universal-mind and goodwill towards educating lovers of music with his timeless songs leaves a long-lasting imprint in our hearts and ears. A welcoming tribute to the type of music (realness) that awakens the originality and creative-consciousness of the African mind.
MCskill ThaPreacha (Real name Olawale Aremo) is a conscious Emcee and a Writer currently based in Lagos, Nigeria. He's been in the Nigerian Hip Hop scene grinding hard since 2010. He released his debut mixtape titled Metaphysical Induction in 2011 featuring Synik from Zimbabwe, Wale and Jetlag from Texas, USA. The great feedback from his first mixtape prompted him to record another mixtape in 2012 titled Get Dope Or Die Wack which featured Mista Dry Gin from the UK, Mschief, Protek and Rez ThaPoet. Both mixtapes were hosted by veteran producer Stormatique - a phenomenal Pan-African music producer whose sounds visualize the future of hip hop in Africa; from Africans for Africans in Africa and across the global community. MCskill teamed up with MC Magic Man, a Port Harcourt city emcee in February 2013 to put out a massive Hip Hop EP titled Project-X which was hosted by Stormatique, Teck-Zilla Of Str8buttah & M.P. It featured legendary emcee Modenine and veteran emcee Psalmurai.
In June of the same year, MCskill ThaPreacha released his fourth project titled Free Throws with guest features from artistes such as; Aina More, Lord V and Cyrus Tha Virus hosted by Stormatique. MCskill announced the "Diary Of A Supernatural" album for a 2014 June release but failed to deliver that year on the project. Rather than leaving his fans hanging, MCskill ThaPreacha released a volume 2 to his earlier released Free Throws project in November to celebrate Hip Hop History month. Free Throws 2 featured Nigerian Hip Hop legends Weird MC and Terry Tha Rapman (also known as Lord T.R). MCskill ThaPreacha had buzzing underground emcees Magic Man, High M and Butafly on the project.
Now heavily affiliated with the Temple Of Hip Hop, Miami. MCskill ThaPreacha teamed up with producer and long time collaborator Stormatique in January 2015 to work on his sixth project titled The Season EP. A single off the project with the same title The Season was released. Str8buttah’s DJ Teck-Zilla provided scratches and samples on the record and by February, the record was featured on Public Enemy Chuck D’s PEPR radio show. The Season EP was released on March 11th with guest artistes like Boogey, Khaligraph Jones from Kenya, Desire Nobility from the Temple Of Hip Hop, Fazillion, Kelani and Sigrin Royce all showing their skills on it. MCskill ThaPreacha kicked off 2016 with an EP titled Supernat Over Preemo which had him rhyming over classic beats from DJ Premier. The EP premiered on Datpiff in the early hours of January 19th and by April, he kicked off his Hip Hop series tagged Beats And Rhymes which will see the rapper release new songs and videos in the coming months.
In a world where hip hop has been misconceived and abused, MCskill ThaPreacha resurrects hip hop (in Africa and around the world) on this epic Pan-African hip-hop "Diary Of A Supernatural" album. MCskill presents hip hop as a glorious magnificent craft risen from its ashes of commercialism and flabbergasted flamboyance and immersed in immateriality. It tells a tale of a gatekeeper (Master of the Arts) who rises from glory to glory in his quest to enlighten and break-the-chains of mental slavery in all peoples of the world through his conscious heart-throbbing music. The much awaited Diary of a Supernatural album which is the MCskill ThaPreacha's 8th studio project in 5-years is now available for download on iTunes and Bandcamp.
