Opinion: Why Disqualified #BBNaija Contestant 'Kemen' Should Face Legal Persecution For Sexual Assault

Big Brother Naija House Mate Kemen was disqualified on March 5th 2017 for Sexually assaulting Fellow House Mate "T Boss" While She Was Asleep. Kemen literally fingered T-Boss without her consent or knowledge. She was made aware of this very disturbing incident by executives of the global reality TV series Big Brother when they showed her the video of Kemen touching her the previous night. Her response was shocking; she wasn't aware that all that was going on. She simply had been sexually assaulted on international TV.

Groping a Woman while she's asleep is wrong! And what's worse is that the victim of this sexual assault was blamed for leading Kemen on. Like seriously! Why do sexually assaulted victims get blamed for being sexually assaulted? It baffles this writer to see these barbaric  acts play out on live TV. Thanks to Big Brother, Kemen was disqualified after the event but that shouldn't be the end of it. T-boss and her Family should press charges for aggravated sexual assault. This sort of behavior by Kemen should not go unpunished. What are we teaching our kids if we cannot uphold morality in civil society? What good will we be doing if we sit quietly while doing nothing? Sexual assault is sexual assault and should be treated as a criminal case.
