Earlier in November 2016, we talked about a bright young Congolese music talent by the name Young Paris who was recently signed to Jay Z's ROC NATION label. In December of 2016, Young Paris released the deluxe version of “African Vogue” with 3-bonus songs which feature Afro-beat stars Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks respectively. Young Paris' songs are a genuine blend of Tribal Sounds, Hip Hop/Afro-beats vibes and Electronic Dance Music.
Milandou Badila better known by his stage name YOUNG PARIS, is a Pan-African music artiste from the Congo. Young Paris who is signed to ROC NATION, has a unique style that cuts across Hip-Hop, Trap, and African drumbeats. Young Paris blends cultures from three corners of the world. Born to Congolese parents, his father founded the National Ballet of Congo. This unity played an important role in Congo’s independence in the 1960’s and brought peace to many villages and united them in dance. His mother, a respected play writer and dancer joined his father’s company in Paris after touring with world famous ‘Rose Marie Guiraud’. They later had ten children – one of whom would borrow his stage moniker from the French capital. After performing in a dance group with his siblings in the Congo, and his early upbringings in France, his family settled back in New York where his foundation has since been cemented. “No Weakness” is a music video released off Young Paris' deluxe edition of “African Vogue”.
