The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) Is Calling For Submission From All African Artists [cc: @AFRIMAWARDS]

The 6th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has officially opened its online portal for submission of songs and videos between the period of May 15 —  August 2, 2019. Following the unveiling of the calendar of events for the 6th annual All Africa Music Awards —  AFRIMA by the Acting Director, Social Affairs Department, African Union Commission, Mr. Machacha Shepande, on Monday May 13th 2019 at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa —  Ethiopia, the entry submission process opens to all African music artistes living on the continent or in the Diaspora as well as producers, record label owners, recording companies, video directors, Deejays and choreographers/dancers and unrecorded artistes.

A song or video to qualify for submission must be produced or released within the year, August 1, 2018 —  August 2, 2019. The artistic works must be uploaded via an audio or video format, using download URL links to YouTube or SoundCloud platforms, and must be submitted in any of the 36— AFRIMA categories, comprising of 10— Regional and 26— Continental categories relevant to the genre or style of music on the online submission portal. Winners in the 36— categories to take home 23.9 carat plated AFRIMA trophy.

The Main Awards Ceremony is a 4— day fiesta of music, glamour, Afro— Centrism and entertainment which will be holding from November 6th —  9th in the official awards Host City. It will be preceded by Welcome Soiree, AFRIMA Music Village, the Host City Tour, the Africa Music Business Summit and the exclusive Nominees Party.

AFRIMA had its 5th edition in the Republic of Ghana in 2018, and in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture; and had in attendance high profile music artists and guests from across Africa and the Diaspora. It was a show of glamour, talents, crafts, and a display of the African dynamism in the arts and culture industry.

In partnership with the African Union, the All Africa Music Awards —  AFRIMA is a music property that recognizes and rewards the works and talents of a myriad of African artists from the old to the new generation of musicians. Through its conferences, AFRIMA also stimulates conversations among Africans between Africa and the rest of the world about the potential of the creative arts for genuine humanizing— enterprise on the continent, contributing significantly to social cohesion, national, regional and continental integration as well as sustainable development in Africa. The award show is usually broadcast to over eighty countries around the world.
